One pair in old silver or pewter gilt depicts a pair of owls, which fasten together with a hidden hook and eye on the reverse. The dogs, French bulldogs? are made in an old gold gilt metal and are slightly larger in size. Both date from the mid 19th century and are on their original sample card with hand written
