EF Payne Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 3/2 #4 8'7" tungsten guides and tip-topsAn early EF Payne bamboo fly rod, 8', 3 piece, 2 tip and built for what feels to me like a #4. The rod weighs 3. 1 ounces on my scale. This is fairly close to the specs for a Model 200 rod, but without a hang tag we'll never know for sure. Likely a late 1920's model but professionally refinished in the 1960's judging by the straight tube tip tops. The rest of the rod retains the original period hardware including the pot belly step ferrules. The rod
